Welcome to the family of Ridgewood Elementary, home of the sharks, where the vision is to: Embrace Opportunities…Unlock Potential…Inspire Excellence!!
While the vision may be simple, the results are profound with ACTION each and everyday by preparing students to show kindness, demonstrate leadership, and be good citizens and stewards of their school, community, and world. Character is embedded into each and every area of the school from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Students are consistently reading about character through literature, making connections through service learning, engaging in dialogue about how to be kind to others, and making a difference in their school through student government. It is truly inspiring to see such young students making a difference in the world around them. The staff and faculty at Ridgewood work hard to ensure all students have a safe, loving, and rigorous academic curriculum where every child can unlock their potential and model and practice what it means to a good citizen.
Recently students participated in Rachel’s Challenge and took the pledge to start chain reactions of kindness. This is certainly a school you will want to visit if you are in Pitt County.
