Students at Ragsdale High School participated in the Classroom To Food Pantry Pipeline (CFPP) as part of a Service Learning programs that connects classrooms with nearby food pantries. The project enables students to build portable gardens out of common materials to grow food in class throughout the school year for pennies on the dollar.
The CFPP is a fun classroom assignment for all grade levels. Students can track growth, harvest yields, develop scaled up models, and more. CFPP’s work well as part of Math, Science, Family Consumer Sciences, Agriculture, and Analytical/Data Collection oriented classes.
