Creating a Culture of Kindness and Compassion in Dare County

Go out of your way … to be kind

CM 2

At Manteo High School, Meichelle Gibson presented on behalf of Rachel’s Challenge on October 27. Gibson took students through the Columbine shootings, and Rachel’s writings, which encouraged readers to go out of their way to show kindness every day. Gibson shared that in her writings and life, Rachel was stalwart and vocal in her support of new students, different students, and in her defense of those being bullied. Trillium Health Resource brought the program to Dare County Schools.
