Two North Carolina Schools Recieve National School of Character Designation

Ridgewood Elementary and Stem Early College at NC A&T were designated as two National School of Character in May 2018 by  Criteria for selection are based on’s 11 Principles of Effective character education, a framework to assist schools in providing students with opportunities for moral action, fostering shared leadership and engaging families and communities as partners in the character-building effort. There have been 547 schools nationwide to have won the award, which is in its 20th year.
